Tried out this place for the first time yesterday. Chicken and waffles is my favorite brunch dish and this place did it justice. We waited a little at our table before a server came through, but truly was only like 5 minutes, but the manager still comped our entire meal. 15 for bottle of champagne/orange juice. Was a great brunch! Will be back to try dinner and this bourbon list.
Was 86, 87 today and when we went after work, was too toasty for me. Luckily the kind server saw me and asked if I'd like fans turned up! (That's why I deducted a star off atmosphere.) On the plus side, our server was wonderful! Very kind and proactive! Also, kudos to the chef(s) too cuz everything came out very delicious and obviously freshly made. (Had the GC burger, pretzels, salad, and fries between the 2 of us.) P.s. Tried this for 1st time tonight because of the #BurgerAndBeerWeek #Eat614.
We stopped here for appetizers and drinks. We loved it! We had brisket tacos, bbq flatbread and backyard curly fries with pulled pork. All were fabulous. The drinks were fantastic and the food was even better. Great service staff. Fun outdoor seating and a beautiful indoor bar area. The brick flooring in the entry is gorgeous. I plan to go back soon.
Never had a bad visit here. Sure they’ve seen staffing issues like any other restaurant, but they overcome it with great food, friendly staff and a huge drink menu. They have a great selection of bourbon. Great patio. Highly recommended.
Came here to meet a friend for brunch. The place was empty, so we did not have to wait on seating and could sit anywhere. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant for the holidays. It felt cozy and welcoming. The mimosa deal was great and I would go back just for that. For the price, the food was good. The ingredients were fresh. I appreciated our server being observant to our needs and creating conversation.
I thoroughly enjoyed my brunch here on a Sunday. The interior design of Round II focuses on the bar and chair-seats. They are so supple and relaxing. The wall shelving of whiskey and bourbons are a nice treat for the eyes to see. Food during my visit consisted of a solid fried chicken sandwich (11). Its a hefty breast portion that's buttermilk breaded, brined, topped with chunky cole slaw and a mild aioli dressing and brioche. The side was an additional cole slaw which had pretty fresh purple cabbage. Rounded the entree with a dark coffee. Service was expedient and amicable. As the patronage was solid, I will gladly come again.
Buzzer trivia was a blast, the Bourbon selection is attractive enough for me and the fellas to come back for some Friday Night Flights. Emily provided amazing service and conversation, even after I witnessed her tripping twice I'll definitely be back.
First off, the main bartenders at Round 2 are the most committed I have seen pretty much anywhere. Kate is there anytime I come in- even holidays. I am honestly shocked she doesn’t own the place at this point! Matt is also always super consistent behind the bar. Unlike many bartenders, he is friendly and very welcoming. It is nice walking into a place and seeing someone smiling behind the bar! As far as food... we really miss the old school round 2 food- especially the backyard fries!!! I am not really sure why there is a vegan focus here. People love meat with their bourbon. Atmosphere is pretty awesome. The seating is cozy and makes you feel like you are in an elevated friend’s basement. Overall, we love round 2, but it is the people who work there that make us come back- not necessarily the food.
